We arrived in Puerto Rico. We did not have a car, or a place to live and we only had what we could carry in our luggage. We stayed at Abuela’s house and although we wanted to rest and go to the beach, we started house hunting right away because Vanessa only had ten days before she had to be at work.
The house hunting was utterly frustrating. Houses in Puerto Rico are very expensive and the choices have much to say about them. We finally found a house after about four days of constant looking. The house is in Dorado—one of the nicest and safest areas in the Island—it is big, comfy and it has a beautiful—but small—yard with a pool.
We moved in our beautiful huge empty house and spent almost a month with very little borrowed furniture. The kids love the house and they love the pool. The weather is great and we hope that we can have a great cultural experience while in the Island.
In this blog, we will let you know about our experiences here—good or bad—our opinions and how we are adapting to our new lives. The authors will vary from Trace, to Vanessa and maybe sometimes even Kabral so the opinions may be different. We hope that you enjoy our blog and that you state your opinions as well. See ya later.
