Hello again…So much has happened since the last time we updated the blog. It has been almost two months…geee….time passes by in a blink of an eye. Although we thought about cancelling the blog, I, Vanessa, still think we should keep it up at least to post pictures so our families can see them. Well, let me try to recap the past two months…
Vanessa returned from Indiana in the middle of February. She had a birthday party and was a bit disillusioned because many people said they would come and ended up flaking out without even calling to say they could not make it. What bothered her the most—besides the rudeness of not being up-front and honest—is that she went out of her way to have enough food and drinks for them and most of the money, effort and food went to waste. Needless to say…there’s many ways to find out who your friends really are and who cares…no more invitations for those who stood her up.
Trace finished his coaching of soccer and had a well-deserved rest until the next sport season…
March madness was in full swing in the Hill’s house. Vanessa ran the World’s Best 10K.
Trace Samuel and Kabral participated in the Antilles High School talent show.
Daddy Trace started coaching baseball for ages 6-8.
... and Vance started playing T-ball.
Vanessa had surgery at the end of the month and put the whole family through a boring couple of weeks since she could not do much of anything.
Finally, April came around…Vanessa is still recuperating from her surgery and staying at home on sick leave. Daddy Trace is extremely busy coaching baseball and keeping the kids on top of their instruments.
Trace Samuel is playing great baseball and shining in school.
Kabral participated in the Broadway version of the Annie play and he helps Dad coaching baseball.
Our friend Dave came to visit us for a week and we had a jammed packed week of activities with him. It was a nice visit and we think he enjoyed it.
Last but most importantly for this month, our Vance turned 5 years old on the 4th of April. He is more and more independent everyday although sometimes he regresses to be our little baby. We are amazed Vance, he is a handsome and smart little guy and he continues to impress us with his ideas and his personality.
We have gone to a few beaches, went sightseeing and sat around to listen to jazz out by the beach with our friends. In a nutshell, we are making the best out of this place and enjoying every minute of it.
Well that is all we have until now…I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and that everybody is enjoying the spring wherever you are…. Peace!
